What we’re working on: scanner, analytics and our honest approach

We believe transparency is part of an accessibility product. So here’s an open look at what Welcoma can do today, what’s in preparation — and what we hold ourselves to along the way.

What’s here today

The on-screen menu is live: visitors adjust the presentation to their needs — font size, contrast, read-aloud, reading aids, stopping animations and more, plus one-click profiles for different needs. That helps people from the first minute, with no code. How to embed it is on the page about the accessibility plugin for WordPress.

What’s in preparation

Two things are next:

The WCAG scanner. It’s meant to find real issues in the code, prioritise them and point to the affected spot — so you fix barriers at the root instead of covering them up. That, for us, is exactly the difference from pure overlay tools.

Usage analytics. With it, you’ll see which tools your visitors actually use — to understand where there’s demand.

Both are not yet active. And that matters to us: we clearly mark such features as “in preparation” and don’t advertise anything that doesn’t exist yet. What’s available and what’s coming, you can see transparently on the pricing page.

Our approach, in short

No tool makes a website automatically compliant — not even ours. A widget helps users right away, a scanner shows you what to do; the actual implementation stays your task. We want to make it as easy as possible for you, without false promises. If you want to know where to start yourself, the guide make your website accessible is a good start.

Why we do it this way

We’d have it easier: “compliant at the push of a button” sells well. But it isn’t true, and it leaves operators out in the rain if a complaint does come. We prefer an honest relationship — even if that means marking some features as “in preparation” instead of announcing them loudly. Trust comes from what you keep, not from what you promise.

As soon as the scanner is live, you’ll hear it here first.
