What to know before you start.
Does Welcoma make my website automatically compliant?
No – and anyone who promises that is not telling the truth. No widget makes a site automatically BFSG- or WCAG-compliant. Welcoma supports your compliance efforts: the menu improves usability for your visitors, and the scanner shows you the real issues in the code that you then fix. Compliance comes from implementation – not from an overlay.
Is Welcoma GDPR-compliant?
The settings your visitors choose in the menu are stored exclusively locally in the browser (localStorage) – not on a server. The widget sets no cookies and embeds no external trackers, and the fonts are self-hosted.
Does it work with my CMS?
At launch there is a plugin for WordPress (including WooCommerce) – without touching your code. Versions for Shopware, Shopify and Magento are in preparation.
Does the widget slow down my site?
No. It is deliberately lightweight (plain JavaScript, no heavy framework) and loads in the background without blocking the page.
Do I need programming skills?
No. Setup takes under five minutes and you control everything from a dashboard – position, colour, language and which tools your visitors see.
